“Team up to Clean up Campaign at M.A. Aziz stadium, Chattogram”

By Ifteqar Hassan

From the MA Aziz Outer Stadium ground in Chittagong, many legendary players have emerged from including former Bangladesh cricket team captain Akram Khan and current captain Tamim Iqbal. Conventional MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong has turned into a garbage dump due to lack of maintenance. Volunteers for Bangladesh (VBD) and Hult Prize CVASU, a joint venture with 200 volunteers, on Friday completed the second phase of their ‘Team Up to Clean Up’ clean-up project to replenish this historic ground in Chittagong to its former glory.

They participate in the work of cleaning the field garbage, levelling the high and low places of the field and draining the water with the help of the cleaning staff of the city corporation.  Lastly, they displayed play cards with various slogans to make the people aware.

In this way, the ‘Hult Prize CVASU’ is trying to start a tendency of change in the city by coming forward with cleanliness and trying to create such awareness among all.  They are hopeful that they will continue their activities in the future by taking part in various social activities.
